TIAN JIN
Located on the western coast of
the Pacific and adjacent to Bohai Bay, Tianjin is one of the four
municipalities under the direct of the Central Government, and also
one of the largest cities in China. Its rich natural resorces, and
hostorical and cultural treasures, have helped to make Tianjin the
centre of commerce and industry in Notrh China.
Tianjin,137 kilometres southeast of Beijing,
borders on the Bohai Sea in the east. The city gradually took shape
in the 12th century when more and more settlements were esta- blished.
It was a county town in the Qing Dynasty and became a municipality
in 1928.
The climate Tianjin is a temperate,continental-type
monsoon climate with the four seasons distint from one
another.
